At Kids Encounter we are constructing an exciting environment for your children each and every week!

This is a place where:

  • Our environments are created to be stimulating and attractive in order to capitivate your child’s heart and mind.
  • Your children will enjoy fun games, funny videos and music they will love.
  • Kids Encounter leaders will engage and invigorate your child’s imagination through a variety of age appropriate activities in order to help them encounter God each and every week.
  • Our volunteers love children and strive to help them build upon a strong spiritual foundation for their great adventure in life.
  • All PreK-5th grade students will participate in an exciting whole group worship service and they will join a breakout session with a Kids Encounter volunteer during this time.
  • ALL children (babies through 5th grade) attend Kids Encounter each Sunday! We are so passionate about kids learning about Jesus in a way they can understand, that we do not allow them into our service designed for adults and students 6th grade and older.
  • We do not apologize for your child begging to come back each and every Sunday!

Age Group Breakdown:

  • Birth – 1 year old: The “Koala Nursery” meets in the Party Room.
  • 2-3 year olds: The “Monkeys” meet in Theatre 12.
  • Pre-K-5th grade: The “Cheetah Children’s Area” meets in Theatre 14.

First Time Guest

If you are a first time guest at Encounter Church, our VIP area is just for you! You will be assigned a host for the day in order to insure you have all your questions answered and you will know exactly what to expect your first time at Encounter Church. Please make sure to stop by the VIP table in order for our host to guide you to our Kids Encounter area.

It’s important for you to know that, if for any reason, we need to get a hold of you during the worship service, we will do so through a parent alert. Your child’s last name and number will appear on the screen in the auditorium, letting you know that we need you for something.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are your procedures for keeping the children safe and accounted for?

Safety and security are essential to your child's Kids Encounter experience. At Encounter, we ask that all parents sign-in at the registration table and their designated classroom in order to be accounted for while participating in Kids Encounter. Children can not be picked up by an adult without the security tag that is handed out at sign-in. Children must be signed out in their classroom. Also, parents can be notified at any time on the screen in the worship service if they are needed in the children's area using their last name and number.

Who will be working with my child? Or how can I become involved?

Kids Encounter volunteers are highly dedicated and see the opportunity to serve children and families as a privilege. All of our volunteers pass a background check. Please contact us if you would like to get involved as a Kids Encounter volunteer.

What do you do for children who want to take the Next Step in their faith?

The Kids Encounter leader will contact you to set up a meeting with each child along with a parent to ensure a complete understanding of the decision they have made and explanation of next steps toward baptism.

What else do I need to konw about Kids Encounter?

  • Arrive at least 15 minutes before the beginning of the service so that you can enjoy the entire service.
  • Please label your child's belongings before you arrive (bags, bottles, pacifiers).
  • If a Kids Encounter staff member or volunteer needs to contact you during the service, your child's name and number will appear on the screen in the worship service.
  • To ensure the health of children and volunteers, we ask that sick children not attend Kids Encounter.
  • Safety and security is of utmost importance to us. You must have the security tag and number with you to pick up your children after the service in their classroom.
